Burger unit blogging.

On Tuesday last week, Peteli, Haylen, and I cooked our own burgers. What we put in our burgers was lettuce, mayo, pattie, cheese, and salt & pepper. the other ingredients we didn't get because there wasn't anything on the table or it was finished.

our next step is to update our plan and changes some ingredients.

Passion Project - Stone Art ( 2nd blog. )

Today in Stone art, I had to sand and smooth my carving so it can look amazing.
I had to use two different kinds of sandpaper to smooth my carving.
First I had to use this thick sandpaper to make the surface even, then I used the slim sandpaper to really make the smooth.
My next step is to spray my carving so that it can be waterproof and it will help it by not having dirty fingerprint on it.

Passion Project - Stone Art

Today I have researched Maori Patterns and learned a lot of meaning behind the art.
 For instance the koru, the koru means "new life growth, rebirth a deep connection to the earth."
another example is Moana (the sea). It means "water harmony with the forces of nature.
So far I have drawn 2 drawings but I'm not finished.

Today last period I had to curve my koru design like a tennis ball then carve the spiral so it could look neat. lastly, I had to carve the side to make it have a shadow.

Performing Arts

What has been your favorite project this year and why?
My favorite project this year was learning how to play the piano in term one and we had to play Despacito and other songs.

what have you found challenging in music this year?
I find playing the guitar challenging because I never like playing with the guitar.

what advice would you give to the year 10 students in 2019? If they make a mistake learn from it and keep going.

What did you perform?
Bunnarith and I performed Girls like you by Maroon 5 and Cardi b.

With who?
With Bunnarith because he asks me to help him.

Why did you choose that song?
I actually didn't pick that song, Bunnarith picked it because he liked it.

were you happy with your performance? why?
To be honest, no because of Bunnarith got it wrong and I got confused about where he was. But we somehow managed to go with it and play.

If you could perform again, what would you change?
I would change nothing because it was pretty alright.

Geometry Rubric #2

What we are doing as a class is geometry rubric and were trying to finish most of the task as soon as possible.

(if you're wondering why this sentence is repeated it is because that I can't think of another intro. )

This is lvl 4 shapes and we asked some question and answer it. Rapture did this because I was doing the other 

geometry rubric stuff.

I knew all of this stuff because we made it simple and easy.

I did the position and orientation LVL 3
and I had to calculate where to go to the end of the maze. (if that makes sense.)

I've learned that it helps you to show where you are heading.

GEOMETRY RUBRIC

What we are doing as a class is geometry rubric and were trying to finish most of the task as soon as possible.

Rapture and I first started on the level 3 and we had to make different kind of shapes with our hands. 
We made a circle, square, triangle, and a rectangle. Rapture only made one because he was away on Friday.

 After that, we moved on to the level 4 and made questions about 3-D shapes.
Rapture did most of the work on level 4 because I had to do something.

I've learnt a little bit of shapes because I already knew most of these stuff.
I would change nothing because im proud of my work.

I used my own brain.

Making wind Kart.

Today in science Ray and I made a wind kart out of card board, tape, and strings.
We also used a Kart that our teacher gave us. it was pretty intresting because Ray thought of a wierd idea that could work. i thought it was not going to work and it didn't because it fell apart because of the structure wasn't stable.

Chris Fell asleep on sentry duty as Homer goes to check on Fi.

"The invader is coming" shouted Kevin.

I ran into some invaders and told us to surrender.

BANG! BANG! came Homer with a pistol holding Fi.

"They shot Lee we have to Surrender," said Homer with a serious look.

"Come with us and Drop everything," said the invaders.

so we all went with a plan in our head.

What you have learned about composing so far?
I've learned that there are different types of Composing techniques like
filming, advertising, a Christmas song, and more.

What is your favorite technique that you tried and why?
My favorite technique is filming because it is fun and when you change the song of the background
it sets the mood.

Ads because I like it and it wants us to buy it.

ESSAY

In the movie power of one, directed by John Avildsen, the director uses all kind of technique to make this scene interesting like close up, low shot, and long shot.

In the movie Power of one, the director John Avildsen used low-key lighting when Jaapie Botha slaps P.K.

For example, the director, John Avildsen, uses low-key lighting when Jaapie Botha wipes P.K blood with his own hand. It makes this scene more interesting by giving it a sinister feel. The director used this technique to show us  

How Jaapie Botha was inspired by Hitler and tried to follow in his footsteps, or it was to make things look scarier. This was effect by making the scene really have a sinister feel and making it like a ritual.

This reminds me of another technique that John Avildsen used in the same scene when the camera goes close up to Jaapie Botha.

In the scene where the camera zooms up to Jaapie Botha face, the director uses close up to show that he’s angry. For instance, when we see P.K’s face when the chicken dies, his face goes serious. The director used this technique to show how furious Jaapie Botha was and how angry and serious P.K was too. This is affected by performing this unique scene, and it shows people's expression of how they feel.in this same movie scene we see another technique that was used in the power of one where you can see everyone that was bullying P.K. This technique is called long shot.

In the movie Power of one where they bring P.K to Jaapie Botha, the director John Avildsen used long shot to see all the student that tried to kill P.K.For instance, When P.K was an instructor for that music thing we can see all the tribes that were lock up in jail. This was when Geel piet dies. The director uses this to show how many people are involved or just to see what is happening. This makes our audience understand that the director uses this technique to show us how many people are participating.

This comes to the end of my essay about the Power of one. The director uses a lot of techniques but I only choose 3 techniques.

My design ideas.

BRIEFS

I am going to design and manufacture a wooden drink holder. It will have six square’s that you can put your drink into and it will come with a holder that you can hold on to, and maybe a lid opener if that's how you call it.

Who is it for?

It is for anyone who wants it because I don’t really need it.

what do you want it to do?

-I want it to hold six drinks.

-make it stable.

kind of because i was nervous and i started to play the music fast.

i felt nervous because it was to be silent, and i get nervous when people look at me.

yes because it was an achieve.

how could you improved your performance?
by being more confidence.

spaghetti and bolognese reflection

The positive thing of making the spaghetti and bolognese was making it by what the instruction said and adding a bit of spice, witch is the bad thing because we ended up putting alot of spices. The things i will do next time is to NOT add alot of spices.
